Mill station
Mill is a station building on the former railway line from Boxtel (NL) to Wesel (D), known as the Boxteler Bahn. This was once a highly significant line, on which trains also ran between London and St. Petersburg, but by 1950 it had lost its passenger traffic. In 2004 the Dutch railway stopped operating freight traffic on this line too.
The Mill Station was brought into operation on 23rd July 1873 and was closed in 1944. This was followed by the conversion of the building, which now houses a youth centre called “De Wissel”. The station was built in the Hapser architectural style, which has, among other things, a pointed gable on the long side of the building.
In 2011 the area around the station was redesigned, based on the former track and platform guide.
Building used as a youth centre, a community meeting hall, etc. up until the present
Station location:
On the former railway line from Boxtel to Wesel near Goch on the Lower Rhine.
