40ft containers

The 40ft containers on which these model is based is an essential part of today’s transportation industry. These standardised (specified) large-scale containers are used for transport and storage of goods and their dimensions were set in 1961 in an ISO standard (International Standards Organisation).

A 40 ft container has dimensions 12.192 m x 2.428 m x 2.591 m (L x B x H). Two 20 ft containers are able to be stacked on a 40 ft container.

The kits are delivered in a neutral (bright) and a colourful version.

It can be used for anything from Era IV/V to the present in all sectors of the transport industry including rail, road and shipping.
