LokPilot 5 micro DCC – The "Twin" of the LokPilot 5 micro
The LokPilot 5 micro DCC is the "twin" of the LokPilot 5 micro. With dimensions of just 8.0 mm x 7.0 mm and a thickness of 2.4 mm (at the capacitor: 2.9 mm), it is just as small, allowing it to fit even in the smallest locomotives of Z, N, or TT scales. However, this model is a pure DCC decoder. The lack of multi-protocol flexibility is compensated by a more affordable price.
The LokPilot 5 micro DCC is available with all common interfaces. The versions with Next18 or PluX16 interfaces are slightly larger, with a base size of 13.0 mm x 9.2 mm, but offer two additional function outputs.
Operating Modes
The LokPilot 5 micro DCC is a dedicated DCC decoder. It supports 14 to 128 speed steps, as well as 2- and 4-digit addresses. Up to 32 functions can be triggered. Thanks to RailComPlus®, the decoder automatically registers with a compatible digital command station.
It supports all DCC programming modes, and with RailCom®, CV values can be read on the main track with appropriate command stations. For systems that only program CVs from 1-255, auxiliary registers are available.
The LokPilot 5 micro DCC recognizes Märklin® braking sections, as well as ZIMO® HLU/ZACK commands and the Lenz® ABC system. It also supports braking with DCC brake modules or DC voltage. Additionally, it stops when using a Selectrix® brake diode. An ABC shuttle train function allows automatic commuting between two stations.
The LokPilot 5 micro DCC can also be used on analog DC layouts, with the maximum speed adjustable separately in analog mode.
The decoder automatically switches between operating modes "on-the-fly", usually requiring no additional settings.
Functions
We understand that you want your locomotives to be as realistic as possible. That’s why we have equipped the LokPilot 5 micro DCC with a large number of function outputs.
6-pin or 8-pin wired versions: 4 amplified function outputs (180 mA per output) and two logic-level outputs for servos or Susi.
Next18 or PluX16 versions: A total of 6 amplified outputs and two logic-level outputs.
All essential lighting functions are included, with individually adjustable brightness for each output.
The decoder supports automatic coupling and uncoupling for ROCO®, Krois®, and Telex® couplings.
Motor Control
The motor control of the LokPilot 5 micro DCC has been fundamentally improved once again. A variable PWM frequency adjustable from 10 kHz to 50 kHz ensures ultra-quiet operation, especially for coreless motors, eliminating the typical "humming" sound.
The load control can now be fine-tuned using up to 10 CVs, even for challenging motor configurations. The unique "Autotune" function allows the decoder to automatically calibrate itself to the motor.
The LokPilot 5 micro DCC delivers up to 0.75 A motor current, providing sufficient power for the intended applications.
Operational Safety
An optional PowerPack can be connected to the LokPilot 5 micro DCC, ensuring that the locomotive continues running smoothly over dirty track sections.
Protection
Of course, both the motor output and the function outputs are protected against overloading. We want you to enjoy your decoder for as long as possible!
